Dave Guarente has performed all over California, and in Nevada, Oregon and Washington State, as well in his native upstate NY.
Mr. Banjo and the Lonesome Wailers have been his mainstay personal platform for over 25 years, entertaining folks all over the SF bay area in various personal appearances and at many venues, music festivals, private and public events with the sound that can only be described as “eclectic”. He brings a vast
collection of music , to show the banjo in its proper place, as a viable musical instrument capable of presenting any type of music that Banjo lovers the world over crave!!

Mr. Banjo plays every 2nd Wednesday monthly at Phil’s Fish Market, in Moss Landing, and has been for over 7 years, as well as various other places TBA.
The JEDD Brothers:
Is a classic rock, club style dance band. They have performed at many venues and private affairs, as well as playing all over the SF Bay Area. Locally, the brothers can be heard at finer places like Severino’s Bar and Grill, The Crows Nest and many other local venues. Check this site often for upcoming shows.

The Carolina Special:
Is a traditional , Bill Monroe style Bluegrass band that features excellent bluegrass picking and singing. Headed up by SF bay area bluegrass legend Ed Neff, Ed brings his super hot guitarist Mike Wilhoyte, and with fiddler Doug “Doc” Holloway, bassist Suzanne Suuwanda, this is a mighty platform for me to stand on. .If you are into real bluegrass, this is it! Good Stuff, indeed!
Carolina Special plays every 2nd Tuesday night monthly at the South Bay’s finest in BBQ, Sam’s BBQ. there is bluegrass every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Sam’s BBQ in San Jose. No cover ever!
Earthquake Country is probably the best band you never heard of. With an interesting reprotire that includes classic country, blues and brother duets, and some originals from Paul, along with hot picking bluegrass and mandolin specials, Dave’s long time friends Paul Jacobs, John Fuller have had this band and this gig for over 30 years at the venerable San Gregorio Store in…San Gregorio!
